American teenager Melanie Oudin has ousted former world No. 1 Jelena Jankovic to reach the fourth round of Wimbledon.
Jill Wiley is the new Miss Pennsylvania Outstanding Teen!
Jill will be a junior this year at Penn Minor High School in Washington Borough.
She was the reigning Miss Central Pennsylvania Outstanding Teen.
Jill has been active in local theater since at least age 10, playing in such productions as “Beauty and the Beast” and “Annie.”
Jill will be in Orlando, FL in August to compete in the national Miss America Organization teen competition.
Actress Farrah Fawcett, best known for her role in television series Charlie's Angels, has died after a long battle with cancer her long-time companion Ryan O'Neal has said. She was 62. Farrah defined Cute and Beauty for a generation. God bless you Farrah!

Local Mount Vernon teenager Katie Sargent is featured on the cover of the DC’s Downtowner this week. Katie just finished her junior year at Mount Vernon High School, MVHS, where she is an honors student in the International Baccalaureate, IB, program. Katie is captain of the MVHS cross country team, as well as being on the varsity swim and soccer teams. Katie has coached youth soccer with Gunston Microsoccer and is a swim coach at Mansion House Club for the past several years as well. Katie began modeling a year ago after winning several honors at the International Modeling and Talent Association, IMTA, event in New York last summer. She is headed to Los Angeles this summer to model for Vision LA and is represented by CH Models, Randy Cazz and Joey Hunter, out of New York. Katie recently placed second in the State of Virginia in the category of Impromptu Speech, is also representing Mount Vernon High School and the State of Virginia in the Future Business Leaders of America, FBLA, National Speech Competition being held in Anaheim the end of June as well. Miss Teen South Calgary-world Amithisste Zarda (left) and Miss Teen Southern Alberta-world Sarah Striga handed out prizes to kids after the Little Legs race at Olympic Plaza. The girls will compete for the title "Miss Teen Canada World" on July 25, 2009 in Toronto.
The 2009 Mother's Day Run and Walk was held in Calgary to raise money to fund the purchase of new medical equipment for local hospitals.

"A lot of you guys think I have some fancy studio, editors and a production team (that would be awesome).. but I don’t. I shot all of this with a little Canon SD 960, my Ikea green screen (blanket) and edited it all on Final Cut Pro on the plane yesterday (and all night and all morning).
For the standing parts since I didn’t have a big enough green screen, I had to turn it and my camera sideways and fix it in post — this my friends is what you call resourceful."
